Customer POD Notifications

3 Min Read

It’s not a secret, overtime features and experiences that have been adapted in the B2C space, become requirements in the B2B world.

The digitisation of processes and the rise of on-demand services like Uber have led consumers to expect transparency across all their deliveries. If we can track our ride or see when our pizza is arriving, why shouldn’t we have the same visibility for our furniture or pet food?

Consumer demand for improved delivery experiences has led to leading retailers adopting delivery management software enabling digitisation of their supply chain and last mile operations providing enhanced customer experiences, through improved delivery communications.

With the rise of online ordering, the demand for ATL (Authority to Leave) deliveries has steadily increased. But how do businesses provide assurance to customers that goods have been delivered when no one is available to receive and sign for the goods?

Are ATL deliveries only relevant for consumers?

Definitely not. For many B2B deliveries, businesses request the goods to be left as an ATL. However, this can create complexities as there are more options for where to leave goods at a business compared to a residential home.

Taking Proof of Delivery to the next level

Radaro’s new Customer POD Notification feature addresses this challenge by providing a copy of the photos taken during the delivery process directly to your customer upon job completion.

While Radaro’s Digital Proof of Delivery (POD) feature has always offered the delivering company visibility into:

  • Driver movements,

  • Timing, and

  • Job completion photos,

this new layer extends that transparency to customers.

For your B2C customers, this provides assurance the goods have been delivered as communicated, and for B2B, it also provides the bonus that the recipient can see where the goods were left. This extra layer of communication results in fewer calls to your service and support teams requesting clarification of where goods were left, or questioning if they were delivered at all.

“We are thrilled to introduce Completion Photos as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing delivery experiences.” said Ricky Flockhart at Radaro. “By extending delivery visibility to customers, we’re helping businesses reduce support enquiries and build greater trust with their clients.”

How it works?

Once the feature is activated on your Radaro account, when a delivery is successfully completed, an SMS and/email will be immediately sent to your customer requesting they provide feedback regarding their delivery experience and providing a link to a dedicated confirmation page which will show all the photos collected during completion of the job.

If you would like to learn more about the Radaro delivery management software or see how this new feature can assist you and your customers, contact the Radaro team or email support@radaro.com.
