FEATURE ENHANCEMENT: In-field Barcode Creation

2 Min Read

Radaro raise the bar again, enhancing the Barcode/Transit Label scanning feature.

Barcode/Transit Label scanning has been a long-standing feature of the Radaro delivery management software allowing Drivers to scan on and off goods as required allowing for chain of custody to be maintained and an item’s whereabouts to be traced.

In-field Barcode creation provides another dimension to the service.

Why is In-Field Barcode Creation Needed?

There are circumstances where jobs are created for collection, yet the barcode or transit label details are not ready. This includes scenarios such as:

  • Drivers being sent to site without specific items being referenced.

  • Dealing with return or RMA items.

How Does it Work?

When a Driver is picking up or collecting goods from a site, they can use the phone camera to scan the barcode, instantly adding the barcode details to the job.

Once the goods are delivered, either to the warehouse or to another customer site, the goods are scanned off, providing a complete record of the entire transaction.

Full details on how to utilise Radaro’s Barcode/Transit Label Scanning feature can be found on the Radaro Knowledge Base.
